Animal Abuse Cases

Here are examples of the frequent nationwide cases of intentional cruelty, abuse, torture and murder of innocent companion animals.

Ohio: A police officer threw kittens from a moving vehicle. Witnesses saw him do it. He went to trial and the verdict was not guilty.

Mississippi: A homeless kitten was trying to survive near a bar. The bar patrons beat her and used her as a football on numerous occasions. One day she was found at the back of the bar impaled on a sharp stick. It was apparent that she had been subjected to still more beatings by the sadistic bar patrons. The animal control officer assigned to the case asked the bar's owners if they knew anything about what happened. They said they knew nothing. The animal control officer said that since no one saw anything there is nothing she could do. Her attitude was that it is just a stray cat, one less to worry about.

Georgia: Two burglars vandalized a woman's home and burned her dog to death in the oven. One of the perpetrators is being charged with animal cruelty but the other is not. The maximum sentence under Georgia law is 5 years in prison, but crimes against animal cruelty often get pleaded down to a lesser sentence. The monsters who did this might not get any prison time for what they did to that poor terrier.

Ohio: A kitten was beaten so badly that his back legs were broken. A suspect has been identified. The case is being investigated by the SPCA and not by the police. So far, nothing has been done and the suspect is still roaming free in the neighborhood.

Colorado: Two boys in their late teens set a cat on fire and threw him out of a moving vehicle. They pled guilty to the crime. All they got for such a terrible, sadistic crime is 2 days in jail, a $500 fine and 18 months probation!

These poor animals can't speak for themselves. Please be their voice.
